RSMF Celebration Choir

Join our Celebration Choir for children aged 7-11 to mark five years of the Foundation!

Richard Shephard Music Foundation has been providing weekly music lessons in schools across York for the last five years. We’re delighted to be celebrating our fifth anniversary with a programme of exciting extracurricular performance opportunities, enabling children from across the city to come together and sing.

Our choir is led by musician Emilie Bels, a qualified teacher and experienced choir leader, who has worked in primary schools for several years delivering fun and inspiring music lessons. She will be accompanied by support staff to help look after the young people throughout the sessions. All staff have full DBS checks.

The choir will have the opportunity to perform at the below events: 

RSMF 5th Year Anniversary Dinner - 4pm-8pm Friday 16th October 2026
York Music Hub Gala - 4pm-6pm on Thursday 26th November 2026
Busking at York Train Station -1pm-2pm on Sunday 6th December 2026
Music Monday at Clifton Explore - 4pm-5pm on Monday 7th December 2026

Rehearsals will take place at Clifton Explore Library, Rawcliffe Drive, York, YO30 6NS from 4:30pm -5:30pm on Tuesdays from 15th September 2026 (a full list of dates will be circulated).
